Sewer and drain lines frequently create problems for residential property owners. Sewers and drains backups can be caused by root intrusion and calcification inside the pipes; ground movement caused by seismic activity loosens joints in drain systems and causes cracked and broken pipes; drainpipes leaking below ground cause erosion and result in dangerous sinkholes. In addition to the expense and inconvenience, backed up sewage presents health risks from mold and harmful bacteria.
Nu Flow to the rescue! Nu Flow can repair your residential sewer/drain lines using either single- or double-entry access points without destruction to interior or exterior surfaces of structures or landscapes. No need to jackhammer into the basement floor, or rip out the sidewalk and dig a huge hole; not when sewer/drain lines can be repaired using Nu Flow's CIPP technology.
Flexible and Time Tested
Nu Flow’s patented CIPP drain lining technology creates a “pipe inside a pipe” by using patented epoxies to coat the inside of the existing pipe structure. This process can also be used to bridge gaps created in the pipe through erosion or shifting ground, without having to dig up the area. This is how it’s done:
First, the lines are evaluated using sewer cameras to determine what’s needed to resolve the problem. Next, the lines are cleaned using a specially designed tool to safely remove hard deposits on the inside of the pipe. An epoxy-soaked felt liner is then pulled into place, and a “bladder” inside the liner is inflated to form the seal and hold it in place until the epoxy cures. The end result is the creation of a smooth and seamless “pipe within a pipe.”
After the Nu Flow process, the pipes are better then new. Roots cannot penetrate the new seamless, joint-free pipe. Calcification will no longer be a problem, because the deposits will not adhere to the inner walls of the new epoxy pipe lining. And best of all, the whole process is done above ground – no need to worry about the cost and hassle of reconstructing hardscape components, landscaping or flooring.
Sewer Camera DVD Illuminates the Problem
When you call Nu Flow for an evaluation of your sewer/drain lines, we may schedule a camera inspection of your main and/or lateral lines. The camera footage is recorded on a DVD, and you are given a copy of it along with the plot plan showing how the sewer/drain lines run through your property. The Nu Flow Services technician will then evaluate your needs and recommend the best solution for your specific problem.
Once the repair is made in the sewer/drain line, the camera is sent through the line again to inspect the area, and you are given a copy of the DVD showing the repaired pipe.
It’s been reported that roots intruding into the sewer/drain lines are the cause of 50% of the blockages. Factors that contribute to this statistic include older pipes with joints, shallow pipes, small-diameter pipes, and fast-growing tree species. The remedy for root intrusion is typically expensive, laborious - and temporary. Most plumbers are able to remove the roots, but if the pipe joints and the tree remain in close proximity to one another, the problem will recur.
Nu Flow trenchless technology creates a seamless pipe to prevent infiltration and exfiltration, to restore the structural integrity of the original pipe, and to eliminate the joints that weaken and allow root intrusion.
More Good Things About Nu Flow Processes
Strong, smooth epoxy lining prevents build-up inside pipes, and keeps things flowing the way they did when the system was installed. The seamless, joint-free repair will be leak-free, and will keep out tree roots.
Nu Flow’s structural lining and epoxy coating products meet or exceed all industry ratings and standards for safety and performance.
Pipe restoration is an eco-friendly solution that creates no waste for landfills or for recycling, and generates no carbon emissions during manufacturing.
We offer other services, too, like our patented trenchless repair system for underground swimming pool piping. We also perform epoxy lining of gas lines, fire suppression systems, chiller systems, and hydronic heating and cooling lines.
